Welcome to Redwall German Shepherds!
We are the Foster family and live outside of Starkville MS, the home of MSU (Go Dawgs!). We live on 12 acres in the country with lots of room for our German Shepherds to run and play and they live inside as part of our family. What’s 2 more, right? ? We have always dreamed of having quality German Shepherds with pedigrees from Germany. When our oldest son graduated from high school, he bought our first Shepherd named Captain. Captain was raised with our toddler at the time whose birthday was only a week prior to his. Captain would patiently let our little son crawl all over him while we would read at night. He is a very docile dog yet has a great ball drive and is focused and intent on his challenge.
After a couple of years, we decided that the time was right to purchase a female German Shepherd. Our 11-year-old son, who is the dog lover of the family, had wanted one of his own for a while. We bought our second German Shepherd from Presley German Shepherds who we had visited a few years before. Zita was added to our family to the delight of our son and the rest of the kids. Zita was raised with our youngest 1-year-old daughter who climbed all over the puppy and the two grew up together. Both of our German Shepherds have been amazing with our younger kids and toddlers.
Finally, two years later, we had our first litter of beautiful puppies between Captain and Zita. Both dogs have great temperaments and have been great parents. Zita cared for the puppies like she was a seasoned mom while Captain would act like a doting dad licking his puppies and watching over them. The parents were great together and respected each other’s space without being kept from one another. You will not be disappointed with these sweet puppies. They make excellent companions, playmates for children, and watchdogs for strangers. They are highly intelligent, loyal, confident, courageous, and steady dogs.
If you have any questions, please contact us. We would love to talk with you about owning one of our puppies.
